Background & Philosophy

Background:

Urbane Male was conceived by its founders in 2011.  Having spent a combined total of more than 60 years working for major corporations in the Cosmetics and Toiletries industry, they decided to hang up their ‘corporate hats’ and set up their own company. They wanted to utilise their considerable experience gained in the Product Development, Packaging, Manufacturing and Marketing of Cosmetics and Toiletries to develop their own range of men’s shaving and grooming products that would incorporate many of the product ideas they had been nurturing for years. The result was the formation of the company, Man Age Grooming Ltd, and its first brand, Urbane Male.

Philosophy:

The overall driving philosophy at Man Age Grooming is clear. We are quite simply committed to developing and sourcing high performance men’s shaving and grooming products that are fit for their purpose, deliver genuine consumer benefit, have attractive packaging, and which provide good value for money. Man Age Grooming will strive to introduce innovative shaving and grooming products under its ‘Urbane Male’ brand and we have a pipeline of new products under development that will reflect the brand integrity – contemporary, stylish, refined and value for money.

In addition, we will also seek out and introduce other male grooming ‘brands’ that we feel have similar characteristics to Urbane Male and which complement our own product range. We believe we make excellent products but we are also realistic enough to recognise that other brands also provide good products that hit the right ‘sweet spot’ between performance, benefit and value.
